Some people will never fully understand how exhausting it can be to always be “the strong one.”

The one everybody calls.
The one everybody leans on.
The one expected to hold everything together, even when life feels heavy, too.

But today, I want to remind you of something important:

Strength is not pretending you never get tired.

Real strength is continuing to move forward while learning how to protect your peace, prioritize your healing, and give yourself grace along the way.

This afternoon, while listening to “Don’t Look Back” by Minister Neecy, I realized how often we carry old emotions into new seasons.

Old disappointments.
Old guilt.
Old heartbreak.
Old versions of ourselves.

And without realizing it, we begin dragging emotional weight that no longer belongs in our future.

But healing is not about becoming someone new overnight.

Healing is about learning:
What deserves your energy
What deserves your peace
What deserves your attention
and what deserves to be left behind

Not every battle deserves another replay in your mind.

Some things are meant to teach you…
not stay attached to you.

This afternoon, I am choosing:
peace over pressure
healing over overthinking
faith over fear
growth over emotional exhaustion

And maybe that is your reminder too:

You do not have to carry everything forever.

Some things must be released so your spirit can breathe again.
