“Life doesn’t always follow the recipe but it still makes a story worth tasting.”- Treasurable Life
Have you ever had one of those days? You know the kind where you wake up with a plan, a vision, a Pinterest-worthy outcome… and then reality barges in like a pack of mischievous dragons? Whether it’s kids, work, unexpected news, or just plain life, we’ve all stood in the middle of a metaphorical (or literal) kitchen disaster thinking, “This was NOT in the plan.”
This art perfectly captures that feeling. Arms crossed, face serious, surrounded by chaos because sometimes the mess isn’t just around us, it’s within us too. But here’s the beautiful part: the mess doesn’t define us. How we respond does. And sometimes, laughter is the best first step.

Life is a little like baking with dragons. You can set all the ingredients out, preheat the oven, and write down the instructions step by step… but someone’s always going to toss extra flour into the mix.
Maybe it’s your child deciding to “help” by dumping half the sugar into the bowl. Maybe it’s your coworker who “forgot” to mention the deadline was moved up. Maybe it’s your own emotions flaring up when things don’t go as expected.
But here’s the thing: in these messy, unexpected, laugh-or-cry moments we discover our strength, patience, and sometimes, our sense of humor. Because life won’t always be neat. Sometimes, it’s covered in crumbs and glittering with unexpected lessons.
Flour on the Floor
There’s flour on the floor and sugar in the air,
The dragons were baking without a single care.
I said, “Follow directions!” but they gave me a grin,
And now my kitchen looks like a tornado spun in.
Arms crossed, lips tight, I’m trying to stay calm…
But chaos in life doesn’t always come with a balm.
So I take a deep breath, give the mess one more glance,
Because sometimes, in the madness, we find our chance.
The dragons of life won’t always listen, but we can still choose how we stand in the middle of the mess. Arms crossed, firm but amused, ready to take on the next round. Because at the end of the day, the kitchen can be cleaned, the lesson can be learned, and the story can be told with a smile.
So here’s to the flour on the floor, the plans gone sideways, and the beautiful, chaotic dance of everyday life.
This is Treasurable Life where truth is what I bring, and raw is what I deliver, not just for me… but for everyone who’s ever stood in the kitchen of chaos and decided to laugh anyway.
