A dishonest heart will always reveal itself time is the sharpest truth-teller- Treasurable Life

Wolves in Disguise
Not every smile is kind,
Not every hand is safe.
Some wear masks stitched tight
To hide a darker face.
The wolf won’t growl at first,
It waits, it charms, it blends.
But truth always bleeds through
And lies will meet their end.
Let’s talk about it raw. No sugarcoating, no fake niceties. The personality trait that raises a red flag with me? Deception.
I can handle blunt people. I can handle the ones who don’t like me, even the ones who speak their truth with fire. What I cannot handle is the liar in disguise the one who smiles in your face while planting seeds of betrayal behind your back.
See, deception doesn’t always show up loud. Sometimes it comes as charm, sometimes as “fake support,” sometimes as silence when you need someone to speak truth. Those are the people you have to watch. Because once you see it once you see the gap between who they say they are and who they really are you can’t unsee it.
And here’s the truth: when someone shows you a red flag, believe it. Stop excusing it. Stop hoping they’ll change. Stop telling yourself, “Maybe I’m overreacting.” No, you’re not. Your spirit picks up what your eyes don’t always catch.
I’ve learned that the most dangerous trait isn’t anger, or even pride it’s deceit. Because deceit is a weapon people sharpen in the dark. And when it cuts, it cuts deep.
So I’ll tell you this: I don’t fear the ones who come at me with honesty, even if it stings. I fear the ones who hide their true intentions. Those are the people I protect my peace from. Those are the ones I keep outside the gate.
Here’s the thing life is too short to entertain people who show you red flags. Stop thinking you can love the liar into being honest. Stop giving endless chances to someone who already showed you who they are. When someone waves a red flag, believe them the first time. Protect your peace before their poison takes root in your spirit.
Real love, real friendship, real connection it’s built on honesty. Not perfection, not pretending, not masks. If you want to walk with me, bring your flaws, bring your truth, bring the real you. But don’t bring deception. Because once I see it, I can’t unsee it. And once I feel it, I will never unfeel it.
So I leave you with this: the strongest thing you can do for yourself is to trust your discernment and set your boundaries. Don’t be afraid to let go of people who make you question their loyalty. Red flags are not decorations they’re warnings. Respect them. Protect yourself.
And always remember, peace is priceless.
Until next time, friends
