Love is not measured by what you demand, but by what you are willing to give without losing yourself.- Treasurable Life
Love is not about losing yourself; it’s about finding strength in giving without pride.– Treasurable Life

Where Love Kneels
By: Treasurable Life
Love doesn’t always roar,
Sometimes it bows low.
Not because it is small,
But because it is strong enough to serve.
In hands that honor,
In hearts that pour,
Love becomes holy
Not in the grand gestures,
But in the quiet sacrifice.
When pride says stand tall,
Love whispers kneel.
For only in humility
Do we see the strength
That keeps two souls together.
John 13:14-15 (NIV)– Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
In today’s world, love often gets twisted. We’re told love is about power, control, who leads, who follows, who owes what. Social media glorifies flashy gestures, money, status, and who can “outdo” the other. But truth? Real love doesn’t look like competition. Real love looks like service.
Serving one another is not weakness it’s strength. It’s saying, I see you, I honor you, and I’m willing to bend without breaking. That image of a man kneeling to wash his wife’s feet is not about submission; it’s about partnership. It’s about two people understanding that love requires humility, sacrifice, and putting ego aside.
See, the raw truth is this: relationships fail when pride wins. When no one wants to bow, no one wants to serve, no one wants to give without expecting something back. Love cannot survive in a house built on “me, me, me.” It thrives where both say, us first.
When you truly love someone, you serve them not out of obligation, but out of devotion. And service is never one-sided. Today it may be me bowing, tomorrow it may be you. That’s how we balance each other. That’s how we build something unshakable.
So I leave you with this: the greatest beauty of love isn’t in the flowers, rings, or big announcements. It’s in the quiet places where pride dies, humility rises, and hearts choose service over self.
Because love that kneels, love that serves, love that gives without fear… that’s the love that lasts.
Until next time, friends
This is Treasurable Life.
