Silence doesn’t mean I have nothing to say; it means the world may not be ready for the weight of my truth.- Treasurable Life

We live in a society where people beg for honesty but can’t handle it when it’s given to them straight. The picture says it all “As blunt as I may seem, I don’t say half of what I’m thinking.” And isn’t that the truth?
Many of us walk around every day holding back, not because we don’t know what to say, but because saying it would shake the room. Sometimes the truth is too raw, too heavy, too real for people to digest. So, we sip our drinks, cross our legs, and let the storm brew in silence.
But here’s the reality bluntness is not cruelty. Bluntness is freedom. It’s the act of refusing to water yourself down to make others comfortable. When you’ve survived storms, betrayal, fake smiles, and silent struggles, you don’t have time for sugarcoating. You’ve learned that truth is a weapon, and sometimes silence is the shield.
The Unspoken
By: Treasurable Life
I bite my tongue, but my soul still screams,
Holding back half of my wildest dreams.
The world says “speak softer, don’t be so bold,”
But how do you whisper when your story’s untold?
They call it blunt, I call it real,
Words unspoken, wounds that won’t heal.
So I sit in silence, drink in hand,
Knowing my truth is too much to withstand.
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. — Colossians 4:6
That scripture reminds us that even though we may not always say everything, when we do speak, let it carry truth and meaning.
Next time someone calls you “too blunt,” smile and remind yourself: It’s not your job to make your truth easy for others to swallow. Some truths are meant to burn before they heal.
