Sometimes the loudest pain is the one nobody else can hear. – Treasurable Life.

Family. The very place we expect love, comfort, and understanding. But what happens when the very ones you hope will protect you are the same ones who wound you with judgment? This image shows an elephant sitting outside, crying, while their own family peers from the window. They laugh, they gossip, they assume. But they don’t see the silent battles. They don’t see the weight of the tears, the heaviness behind that quiet posture.

Because here’s the truth: people will judge what they cannot see, what they do not understand, and what they refuse to feel. You can be fighting with depression, anxiety, financial struggles, or even your own self-worth, and your own family might still stand by and say, “Why can’t you just get it together?”

But let me say this, you don’t owe anyone an explanation for battles they were never brave enough to fight themselves.

The Heavy Silence
I cry where no one sees,
I break where no one hears.
Behind the smile they think is strong,
Lie years of hidden tears.

They laugh behind the window,
They whisper what they don’t know.
But only I can feel the storm,
And only I can grow.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18

If this is you, if you’ve been that elephant outside the window, fighting battles in silence, know this: you are not alone. You don’t need your family’s validation to be worthy. You don’t need their approval to heal. Sometimes the greatest strength comes not from who supports you, but from who underestimated you.

Remember this: healing doesn’t need an audience. Growth doesn’t need applause. And survival is still victory.

Welcome to Treasurable Life, where I speak truth, raw and unapologetic. If your family doesn’t see you, trust this: God does. And I do.
