Some are living, but not alive, surviving only through the approval of others. – Treasurable Life
What if I told you we’re not as alive as we think we are? Look again, not at your phone, not at your feed, but at this. A man lies in a hospital bed, hooked up not to medicine, not to oxygen, but to social media. Twitter. Instagram. Facebook. TikTok. His lifeline isn’t real healing; it’s digital validation.
This isn’t just a picture; it’s a warning. Because how many of us are out here scrolling ourselves numb, posting ourselves hollow, surviving off hearts and likes while our real hearts are flatlining? We claim we’re connected, but most of us are alone in a crowded room of followers.
We are so plugged into social media that we mistake existence for living. Some of us wake up and check our phones before we check on our own children, before we check on our own peace. We’ve become patients in a digital ICU, our life energy hooked up to notifications, our worth measured in views.
The raw truth? Social media is both poison and medicine. It can inspire, connect, uplift, but too much, and it drains us. Too much, and it rewires us to believe we are not enough without the glow of a screen.

Digital Drip
Hooked to a bag,
but it’s not IV fluid,
It’s hashtags and filters,
a counterfeit movement.
Hearts and thumbs
are keeping me alive,
But my soul is starving,
barely can survive.
Scroll, refresh, repeat,
My lungs forget to breathe,
This isn’t healing
It’s a slow disease.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. — Romans 12:2
I will leave you with this: unplug doesn’t mean disconnect, it means reconnect. Reconnect with life, with your purpose, with your God, with your family. Don’t let your soul become dependent on something that was never meant to give your life. Because here’s the truth, no number of likes, followers, or digital validation will ever replace the love and healing that come from within.
So I ask you, are you living? Or are you just surviving on a digital drip?
Welcome to Treasurable Life, where the truth may hurt, but it will also set you free.

Remember this: some are living, but not alive, surviving only through the approval of others.
