Daily writing prompt
What motivates you?

What motivates me?

It’s me, sitting in the middle of life’s chaos, in a world that often feels dark and isolating, yet refusing to be shaken. The moon glows behind me like a reminder that even in the blackest sky, there is always light. I am not motivated by noise, attention, or the temporary applause of the world. I am motivated by stillness, by clarity, by listening to the sound of my own heartbeat in spaces where no one else can hear it.

Motivation, for me, is discipline when no one’s watching. It’s the courage to sit in silence and still rise with strength. It’s choosing peace when chaos screams for my attention. It’s knowing that God planted a light inside of me too powerful for any shadow to snuff out.

The Light I Carry

I do not search for fire,
I am the flame.
I do not beg the stars,
the moon calls my name.

Alone in the dark,
yet never without sight,
for deep in my spirit
I carry my light.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.– John 1:5

My motivation is not borrowed, fragile, or temporary; it is eternal. Like the moon reflecting light in the darkest sky, I am proof that even in silence, even in shadows, purpose still shines.

So what motivates me? The fight to keep rising. The fire that refuses to die. The knowing that God called me to be light in a world that often loves the dark.

This is Treasurable Life where truth is raw, healing is loud, and survival is not just a story but a legacy. And if you take nothing else from this moment, take this: your life, your scars, your light they are treasurable too.
