A true queen doesn’t just survive the game she changes the rules. – Treasurable Life
Life is one big chessboard, and every day we wake up already in the middle of the game. Bills are due. Deadlines are looming. People are testing your patience. Some are smiling in your face while plotting behind your back. And still here you are holding it all together while the world waits to see if you’ll crack.
We all face it at work, in relationships, with family, in friendships those moments where life tries to corner us. The temptation is to react fast, to defend ourselves, to make a move just so we feel in control. But rushing only makes you sloppy. The real power? It’s in staying calm when life expects you to panic. It’s in choosing when to respond and when to let silence speak louder than any words. It’s in knowing your worth so well that no one’s opinion can shake it.
In this game, you can’t control every move others make but you can master your own. Sometimes that means walking away from the job that drains you. Sometimes it’s ending a friendship that’s become one-sided. Sometimes it’s not answering that phone call you know will only bring drama.

And the most dangerous move you can make? Staying unbothered while you focus on building the life they said you’d never have.
The Player’s Mind
I don’t rush the game,
I study the board.
I don’t waste my energy,
I protect my core.
Every move is calculated,
Every step is mine
In a world of chaos,
Patience is the real checkmate.
Be still, and know that I am God. – Psalm 46:10
To anyone reading this whether you’re fighting to keep your head above water, trying to protect your peace, or planning your next big step remember this: life will always try to bait you into a move you’re not ready to make. Don’t fall for it. Sit back. Think. Trust your strategy. And when you finally move, let it be so precise that it leaves no question who was in control all along.
