Daily writing prompt
Describe your dream chocolate bar.

Go ahead, guess what kind of chocolate I am….

Let me take you on a little fantasy, darling.
My dream chocolate bar?
It’s not just a snack. It’s a whole experience.
A love letter to the senses. A slow burn.
A soft melt on the tongue that makes you say,
“Mmm… damn. That’s exactly what I needed.”

First of all it’s dark.
None of that watered-down, sugar-overloaded, do-it-for-the-’gram mess.
I want 85% cacao, bold, unapologetic, just like me.
Smooth like silk sheets and dangerous like red lipstick at midnight.

Infused with sea salt from tears I didn’t cry,
and caramel that stretches like my patience with people who test me.

It’s layered because duh, so am I.
Crisp on the outside, because life made me tough,
but baby, bite deeper and it’s got a soft, rich center.
Hazelnut swirls? Check.
A hint of spice? Absolutely.
Because you don’t get to call it “dreamy” without a little fire.

You survived every bitter season.
Now let yourself taste something sweet.

Bite Me, Softly

Unwrap me slow,
like I’m the answer to your cravings.
Let your tongue meet
what the world told you to deny.

Bitter? Maybe.
But baby, bitter built me.
And sweet?
I kept that for the ones who stayed.

If your chocolate doesn’t make you close your eyes and whisper “lawd,”
Then I don’t want it.
Same goes for the people in your life, honestly.
Life’s too short for bland.

Until next time,
May your chocolate be dark, your energy light, and your life full of flavor.
