Thursday Talk with Treasurable Life: For the Men Still Fighting

You see a man in chains.
I see a man in transition.
I see a man in prayer. In war. In surrender.
And still in power.

There’s this lie out here that men aren’t supposed to struggle. That they should stay silent. Stay tough. But I’m here to break that lie wide open, right here and now.

Some of the strongest men I know are still fighting battles they can’t name. Wounds they can’t show. They can’t cry in public. But I see you, King. And God sees you, too.

Man of Thunder

They told him
“Don’t feel. Be strong.”
But never asked
how much pain
his silence cost.

So he prayed in chains
not for escape,
but for endurance.
And heaven listened.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life. — James 1:12 (KJV)

This image? It speaks louder than a thousand sermons. It’s every man who’s ever felt bound by pain, locked in trauma, crushed by generational burdens, yet still calls on God. Still chooses to fight. Still breathes when everyone says give up.

You are not weak for kneeling.
You are not less for feeling.
And you are not alone in this war.

We need to stop telling our brothers to “man up” and start asking them, “What are you carrying that you were never meant to carry alone?”

To the men in silence: this space is for you.
Mental health matters.
Your healing matters.
Your tears are holy.

Your chains don’t define you. Your prayers do.
Let them fall. One by one. Brick by brick.
Not because you broke them
But because you grew beyond them
