Talk Time with Treasurable Life.

What started as a girls’ day off turned into a moment that shook something deep in my spirit.

Just me, my niece, and her Nana, my beautiful mother-in-law. No schedule. No stress. Just love, laughter, and a movie marathon that turned into a mirror of generations, identity, and truth.

We pressed play on Cruella… and sis, I didn’t know I was about to meet myself.

This movie? It’s not just about fashion and revenge. It’s about the two women living inside so many of us: one trained to play nice, stay soft, and follow the rules… and the other fiery, unfiltered, unapologetic, and finally tired of shrinking.

Watching Cruella come alive felt like watching my transformation on screen.

I’ve been Estella, the quiet girl, trying to make peace.

I’ve become Cruella the bold woman choosing power over permission.

And as I looked at my niece laughing beside her Nana, two generations of softness and strength hit me: this is legacy. This is what it looks like when women pass down love and the lessons it took a lifetime to learn. Then came The Princess Diaries, and I swear the universe had me in its sights. It wasn’t just a coming-of-age story. It was a spiritual slap of truth.

This line dropped in the middle of the movie like a mic from heaven:

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
—Eleanor Roosevelt

Whew. Let me say that again for the women still questioning their worth.
YOU are not small. You are not less than. YOU are not waiting for permission.

You’ve had the crown all along.
You just forgot where you put it.

And don’t worry, I’ll give you a moment to find it, right after this:

Why did the woman bring a ladder to the meeting?

Because she heard the glass ceiling was high… and she came to break it.

And just when I thought the day had already given me enough, this scene played near the end of The Princess Diaries, a heartfelt word:

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all.”

Read that again.

But seriously, today reminded me that womanhood is a journey of becoming. Sometimes you become emotional while crying in the car. Sometimes, while raising a child. And sometimes…

You become while watching a movie in your pajamas with the woman who made you and the little girl watching you.

That’s why I write.

To hold space for the real moments.
To remind you (and myself) that we are still evolving.
To shout out loud:

“Your crown isn’t lost. It’s just waiting for you to look in the mirror and claim it.”

So, if you’ve ever been split in two…
If you’ve ever played small just to be accepted…
If you’ve ever doubted your identity, your beauty, your voice

This blog is for you.

And if this spoke to something inside you… Don’t keep it to yourself.
Hit subscribe, leave a comment, and share it with someone who needs to remember who she is.

Because I’m just getting started.
And trust me, the next post might just be the reminder you didn’t know you were waiting for. With truth, tears, and a whole lot of fire,

No woman needs a man tell them, but I believe honest, sincere, positive affirmation, and encouragement, is welcomed by most.
Keep regally hold your head up, carry that ladder with strength and continue to positively use it to break those ceilings.

    Much love.🫂

Thank you so much for your uplifting words and beautiful encouragement. You’re absolutely right while we don’t need validation, genuine, respectful affirmation is always a gift when it comes from a sincere place. 🙏🏾

holding my head high, ladder in hand, breaking ceilings not just for myself, but for those coming after me. We rise stronger when we lift each other with love, truth, and purpose.

Much love and gratitude to you.
