What are you good at?
Because I wear many hats and none of them are for decoration.
Let me tell you something
I’m good at a lot of things.
I’m a nurse who cares for patients like they’re my own family right down to the extra blanket and the extra prayer. I’m a mother to grown kids who swear they don’t need me… until they call me for gas money, advice, or to ask how long chicken lasts in the fridge. (Answer: If you have to ask, don’t eat it.)
I’m a daughter-in-law who cares for her mother-in-law with more patience than I knew I had. And I’m a girlfriend to a man who always needs me whether it’s to cook dinner, listen, or blend a smoothie when his day’s been rough. (I guess love really is in the blender.)
Oh and I’m a writer. An upcoming author, too.
Yes, ma’am. Add “storyteller” to the list.
They say “Jack of all trades, master of none,” but let me correct that:
I’m a Jack of many, and mastering life one chaotic day at a time.
I do a lot.
I give a lot.
But somewhere in the middle of tending to everyone else’s needs I’ve learned I’m really good at being me.
And that? That’s a full-time job with no PTO, but plenty of purpose.
A little joke to lighten your day:
Why did I bring a ladder to my job as a nurse?
Because I heard the patients were feeling a little down!
Now I want to hear from you.
What are you good at?
Don’t be shy. Brag a little. You’ve earned it.
